New researchers join the team to work on the seaport microgrid model

Starting in March 2025, two new members will join the SHORE project team to work on the model of the microgrids for the ports of Arica and Punta Arenas.

Gustavo Sepúlveda will work on modelling the microgrid for the port of Arica using the data provided by Terminal Puerto Arica (TPA). Gustavo is an Electrical Engineering student from the University of Chile, and his work will be supervised by the SHORE project alternate director, Dr. Constanza Ahumada.

Slomhitt Zúñiga Vera will carry out her Engineering degree thesis from Universidad de Magallanes on modelling the ports of Punta Arenas, working with the information provided by EPAustral and supervised by Professor Iván Andrade.
